Best of both worlds 40 SQF-5 Centrifugal
« on: June 28, 2011, 12:49:40 AM »
After purchasing a Grundfos 40 SQF-5 Centrifugal pump over 2 years ago, I decided it was time to put it in the hole.
The Shurflow 9300 needed to be rebuilt and thought it time to upgrade. The 9300 has keep me in water with lots to spare.
It would fill a 3,000 gallon tank in a day and a half. The 70 gpm was a bit of an over kill, so I decided to put both The GF and SF
down together. It takes a lot of solar skin to power the GF, but only 2 80 watt Sharps for the SF. If I ever need mega aqua,
I would plug the GF into a 2000 Honda and pump like crazy. Will power later with a DIY wind. I have read that the 9300 SF
isn't worth it, but I say nay nay. !0 min. to pull up. 15 min to rebuild and less than 10 to be pumping again for another 2 years
are so. Got to love the 9300. Just a few pics... Thanks
