I was in the local store for something else a couple of days ago and saw a sale on wheelchair batteries. Went back today and bought a pair. The Shack is carrying a much larger selection of sla's than they used to and I got 2 UB12350's for $100. These are made in China like most stuff now.
Flooded marine hybrids are about $100 for a single 12v 75ah battery so this amounts to about the same $/AH in a sealed format. I intend to put them on my eBike.
It looks like the date code is 9/26/10 on both, so they may be trying to move them out before they hit the one year mark. I have both hooked up to my bank to be floated tomorrow.
The label says 13.5-13.8 in float service and 14.5-14.8 in cycling service. They have valves and there is a warning to limit voltage when charging, but no special limit on current. It says on the label these are made for fast recharge as long as voltage limits are respected.
