Whoa... even with a 10% error thatsa 125mph.... a certified member of the 100mph club for sure!

I'd be like using a spotting scope or binoculars to inspect the upper cabling clamps and brackets, and doing a walk-around of all the anchor tie points.

Very cool post.

I hate to but I have to agree with DanG;

Probably a wise move to give it a good walk around guy system tension and connection inspection and glass the upper works.  Would hate to lose it in a minor 60 MPH blow because it had a stretched guy from this event.

Beautiful country there, by the way.

Yikes!    :o
You can even join the 200 kph club, if you want!

No one believes the theory except the one who developed it. Everyone believes the experiment except the one who ran it.

This tower/turbine has seen many 100mph+ winds. I've checked everything several times, climb the tower and do maintenance before winter every year.  The tower end guy wires were professionally swaged, I will never put cable clamps on the tower end guy wires.  All bolt/nuts are backed up with "Palnuts".
