On another note . . .
ALL of the pictures uploaded to Scoop are missing
what's up with that ?

JW:
Just like you, I happened upon the same problem. Some folks like TomW was able to archive some of the picture's uploaded to scoop. All that remain's "officially" is this directory.

Im not sure what was saved what or by who. When the merge to SMF was made files were infact lost. I think the move to SMF was a good idea... Unfortunitly I was not a consultant for Danb at the time, otherwise all the users uploaded photos would have been backed up.

That being said, all the posts were converted over with the images displayed in each post and reply. The data "is" there someplace but we have a hard time sorting thru it. Considering this, if we installed a "google search of this site mod, we could find the posts we cant seem to get to now.

Here's an example of finding lost posts from Scoop

I used the google search function on the core theme to find this. For some reason it is not there with the babylon them but the search function exists in the coore theme, if im not mistaken Woof you view the theme this way.

Here's another one that was scoop, and converted to SMF during the merge. http://board.fieldlines.com/index.php/topic,128555.msg829984.html#msg829984

Thats just the tip of the iceburg of data, that has no orderly clasification...

Danb told me, "if there's anything you can do to recover the lost posts from scoop Im all for it. Ive spent vexing the better part of 18 months (perhaps less) how to recover these posts and topics from scoop. I was able to find posts "I" made using familiar keywords, obviously I have a hard time finding other posts...

I didnt want to bring this up, but like I said the posts are lost, but when you find one its totally backed up, like what happens today with the way we handle back-up files.
