Well that put a smile on my face... Thanks Woof.

Now that you have embedded the image here (the green paper clip exists) you can click the "propertys" (right click) on the paper clip icon, Then use that URL inbetween the [img] tags. Doing this, you only have to upload your picture once, and can display it anyplace on the forum as many times as you would like. Alternately if you upload a picture to the Pub, guests wont have permmisions to view it. Only logged in users can see it if uploaded to the pub.

Handy pictures  ;D   I especially like the StarTrek Enterprize(sp?) one..

Just like you, I happened upon the same problem. Some folks like TomW was able to archive some of the picture's uploaded to scoop. All that remain's "officially" is this directory.

http://board.fieldlines.com/index.php/topic,146351.0.html

Im not sure what was saved what or by who. When the merge to SMF was made files were infact lost. I think the move to SMF was a good idea... Unfortunitly I was not a consultant for Danb at the time, otherwise all the users uploaded photos would have been backed up.

That being said, all the posts were converted over with the images displayed in each post and reply. The data "is" there someplace but we have a hard time sorting thru it. Considering this, if we installed a "google search of this site mod, we could find the posts we cant seem to get to now.

Here's an example of finding lost posts from Scoop

http://board.fieldlines.com/index.php/topic,129125.msg835993.html#msg835993

I used the google search function on the core theme to find this. For some reason it is not there with the babylon them but the search function exists in the coore theme, if im not mistaken Woof you view the theme this way.

Here's another one that was scoop, and converted to SMF during the merge. http://board.fieldlines.com/index.php/topic,128555.msg829984.html#msg829984

Thats just the tip of the iceburg of data, that has no orderly clasification...

Danb told me, "if there's anything you can do to recover the lost posts from scoop Im all for it. Ive spent vexing the better part of 18 months (perhaps less) how to recover these posts and topics from scoop. I was able to find posts "I" made using familiar keywords, obviously I have a hard time finding other posts...

I didnt want to bring this up, but like I said the posts are lost, but when you find one its totally backed up, like what happens today with the way we handle back-up files.

All the scoop pics were there until a few weeks ago. They were working and displaying in all the old posts. But this month they are gone and all of the post made on Scoop are now pictureless. All of my pictures were here
http://www.fieldlines.com/images/scimages/231/
but now it's "Server Not Found"
Did you move the forum to a new server but forget about the pictures ?
Without the pictures that content has little value.

Ok,

What happened was fieldlines switched servers this month. I Know that Trevor (current developer) made extensive back-ups before the switch was made. Post one of the broken links here in this thread and we will acces which directory they were in... Some of the directorys are up and running like the ones I have linked to in this thread... show us the error in this thread and we'll see if we cant get what was working before, back up and running. Thanks for pointing this out Woof, there's been no other talk about "suddenly" broken links

Cool, we can find the errors from there, Im sure each one of those is 10 (or more) to one. Also, post more of the errors you see.

I was right in my hypotheses you have been able to locate these types of files using the google search function for [fieldlines], most users are using the Babylon theme (as guests must) "um, um, UM..." when I initally installed that mod, it has never worked for the Babylon Theme. (google search mod) but it did install on the core theme, Woof, that you use to veiw the forum "when your logged in"....

Will send an updated picture as we get this thing back together, in about in a day or so. Its kind of funny because there are two of us working on this engine swap, Nick is handling the mechanical side of things, and now its my job to get all the wires plugged in where there suppose to be, and engine running with no check engine light...
