I'd like to ask permission to start a "pay it forward" thread. Here's the idea..
Ever heard of 'pay it forward' in the forums? People regularly post items, (sometimes of great value), that they don't need anymore and have decided to give away. The idea is that someday they will need something and someone will in turn, Pay it Forward. Most recipients pay the shipping.
A few rules to start:
1. No commercial postings.
2. Please update the thread once the item is "gone".
3. Any charge associated with the item is only for the cost of shipping. Receiver pays shipping unless otherwise specified.
4. Post about the item only once.
5. Finalize the transaction through "PM" or "email" with the author of the thread posting.
6. Describe the item as accurately as possible and include part # when available.
7. Please do not offer broken or damaged items unless specified as such.
8. Do not go shopping. If you need it ask. If you need a spare, go buy one.
9. The receiver of the item must post something to donate of (pref errably) equitable value to keep the PIF forum in motion.
If this sounds good, I'm going to start with my next post in this thread.
