Blade center piece problem
« on: February 20, 2012, 11:33:44 AM »
It was a stormy day on 27.12. 2011.
My friend went home and saw his Exmork wind turbine broken.
The center piece of the blades broke and the blades flew away. One blade was found on the roof of his house another flew so far that he has not found it yet.

The machine was made by Exmork.

This forum seems to collect a couple of "Exmork shed its blades" stories every year.
I've seen one in person.

There are way more Bergey's than Exmork's out there, and yet we don't hear about them throwing off their blades...  Mother Nature is telling us something!

Sorry for your friend; I hope he does find that missing blade.  If someone else finds it, it could be a legal problem for him.
No one believes the theory except the one who developed it. Everyone believes the experiment except the one who ran it.

The missing blade might anyway be somewhere quite near inside snow. There was quite much snow already when the machine threw it out. Now there is something like 75 cm snow.
