hi all, just noticed that the price of pv panels is getting somewhere near sensible at last.
thinking of getting a 250 watt one to supplement my wind turbine.
i am thinking of siting it next to the turbine and have the idea of making a tracker using weights suspended from the turbine tower. any one know of anyone else clever /stupid enough to have done this before? and if so any details would be helpful.
i know, the weight will come crashing down breaking the panel and trashing the turbine as the cable flies round uncontrollably. i have penciled that one in one possibly already.
