You can spinoff half the wire in a couple of minutes with a drill

Are you using one of the plans? Hughs or Dans? If not you are gonna have to wind a test coil to come up with your desired voltage at cut in.
I aint skeerd of nuthin.......Holy Crap! What was that!!!!!

yes im using dans plan a olderone on this sight where he used the big 2 inch round magnets on 11 inch rotors the only thing im changeing is the magnet size tho the 1 bye 2 bye half inch he states that the magnets where a bit too stong and would stall the blades so my question is do i stay with the trunns on the coils with 14 gauge two in hand this is my qouestion?????????????

Go to other power.com and search for 10 ft turbine.

   It shows 36 turns with 2. 1/2. 1 .mags

another concern is fitting the coils in the stator with the coil holes lined up over the magnets travel path.the mags u are using are usually used on 12inch rotors.when u use 11 inch rotors, everything has to move in toward the center, including the coils.you may need to wegde shape the coils abit to get a good fit.you sure dont want to wind all the coils and find out they dont fit and need to be rewinded more wedge shaped.
