We need a sticky on these delco conversions, it's ALL been done before and in the end they are usually very disappointing.
The 13 blade rotor is just flat out ridiculous, to get any measurable power out of those things they need to spin FAST, like 1500-2000 rpms, 13 blades will never even get close to those kinds of rpms, a 2 blade set up would be more in the realm of reality.
In the end you will be disappointed with the out put and grid tie is simply ridiculous, you will be lucky to make enough power to overcome line losses and keep a couple batteries charged.

The reason you got no power and only heat with the original stator is the 8 pole rotor in a 14 pole stator, you had coils producing power out of phase acting as a dead short.
