« on: July 07, 2012, 08:24:01 AM »
hey friends, i am kinda in a confusion,
i have a 0.5 hp, 1500 rpm, 12nm, pmdc that operates at 48 volt. i want to use the motor as both a motor and a generator....
can you people tell me if that is possible and if yes what things i should take care of....

Spin it up on a cordess drill . They work in that range and measure the out put.

Hi

What voltage do you want to generate? 12 V would need around 400 RPM not too bad but 24V or more the revs are way too high.

i am flexible with the voltage...suggest a plausible solution with the voltage of your consideration...
