Size of tail vane in reguards to windturbine rotor dia.
« on: September 20, 2012, 05:37:19 PM »
Does anyone have some info. on how large the wind turbines tail vane should be ,for a turbine with a 14 or 15 foot diameter blades? My turbine is a gear and chain driven , oil bath type machine something like the ones Chris Olson builds..I am using the same type of furling system like you build there at Otherpower,,,,This is a pretty large machine, with 20 1/2 inch magnet rotors ,16 C8 ceramic magnets per rotor, and 12 large coils in the stator..  I am hoping to get somewhere between 3 and 4 KW. out of this machine when completed.. Any info. would be great..  Bio Diesel Man
