EVA
« on: November 24, 2012, 07:39:26 PM »
Hello folks,

I tried to order a 100 meter roll of EVA off http://www.aliexpress.com but they won't ship to Washington state.
this is the product:
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/1m-x-100m-EVA-film-for-solar-panel-encapsulation-free-shipping/502750188.html

I know someone in Oregon I can have it shipped to but if anyone is interested perhaps we can split it.
I am intending to make 40 panels each 1.5 feet by 3 feet, so i need about 40 meters.

Here's an even better deal:
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/50meters-810mm-width-Solar-EVA-Film-for-solar-cell-encapsulation-with-TUV-certification-UNDER-cost-price/688795207.html
I would need two rolls though.

If someone wants to take delivery and their share of it and ship it to Washington that works out for me.
if you don't need much of the film, consider it free.

My wife says I'm not just a different colored rubik's cube, i am a rubik's knot in a cage.

Hey Joe,

I've got a partial roll left over from a year ago. Don't know what the shelf life is on EVA, but I've probably got enough left for your project. I'll check it out tomorrow if your interested.

I would hope EVA lasts longer than a year.

sure, i'm interested. can you test it with a hair dryer and a piece of glass?
if it is still good how much do you want for it?

my email is johansense at g mail if you want to contact me there.

thank you.

Sorry but I spoke too soon. Thought I had gotten 100m. not 50. (CRS I guess) Once I factored out what I need to finish my project, I couldn't even get you half way.

Here's the company I got mine from.
http://www.aliexpress.com/store/400691

Their price is good, but the shipping is outrageous!

Again, sorry for getting your hopes up.

btw    I tested a swatch with my heat gun and it's fine.

Aliexpress told me that they have no escrow licence in Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico and Washington
