Price of Turnigy 130a
« on: December 25, 2012, 09:25:56 PM »
Does anyone know why Hobby King is 1/2 the price of everyone else? It looks suspicious. They have none in the US warehouse, either, just China and the UK. If I had to buy from a US supplier, the WattsUp meter would be the same price, and their amp rating is more honest. The fine print on the Turnigy says 65 amps is the real continuous rating.

I need one of either for my solar/wind setup. The one I had has a bad backlight, so I can't read the display. If anyone wants it to tinker with, send me a PM and I'll mail it to you.

If someone has a WattsUp or Turnigy to sell, PM me, too. $50 seems a bit steep for what this does.

Hobby king is $23.95.
Toysonics.com has one called the "GT Power 130A" (looks to be the same) for $28.99.

Let me know if you got my email.  First time I used PM and banging around at 4:30 in the dark don't know what was sent.

The broken Turnigy I have is going to OperaHouse, but I still don't know why HobbyKing can get away with selling it for 1/2 of what everyone else is asking.

Turnigy is a Hobby King Company! They do MUCH business world wide.
10's of thousands of RC users buy from them all the time.
Hobby King received about $100 per month in 2012 from me for my RC habit.
