Rectifier connectors?

I recently bought a new 3 phase rectifier for my hydro, the old one had screw-down terminals, this one has what look like spade / blade type terminals, but when I try to find crimp connectors that fit they're all too big or too small. The terminals measure 8.0mm across,  looking at a chart of spade terminal sizes it lists some for terminals of 0.8mm X 8.0mm size but when I try to find them online it's like they dont exist, everyone just seems to have the 4.3mm, 6.4mm and 10.9mm. Is this meant to use spade connectors or some kind of flat connectors bolted through the little holes like on some small batteries? Thanks.

I don't know if the way I use them is correct, but I insert the lead wire into the hole, wrap it around the terminal, then solder the wire to the terminal. On one of my first wind generators, I had a spade connector with a loose connection. I almost lost control of it from over speeding. From then on, I've always soldered them.

I have not met 8mm connectors either. If you do as Phil b suggest and solder quickly with a hot soldering iron it will be fine.

Otherwise you can use normal ring crimp connectors and use little screws as you suggested, the holes look big enough to use m3 screws or something near.

Yeah, I think soldering is the way to go with it, I do need to be able to easily disconnect it so I'll probably use a short wire to a terminal block connector. I did find some 8mm female spade connectors but they only make them in the 1.5 - 2.5mm Blue range and not fully insulated either so I'll forget them. Thanks.

Every connector you add is a possible failure point from heat, keep that in mind. Solder is the way to go.

Ebay  - windy_nation sells these connectors. $2.99 for 5 and they take  #6 cable.
