model T engine to run a generator head
« on: February 17, 2014, 09:41:17 AM »
Hi

the ford model T engine seems to be a well made engine and not much to wear out
so how about a model t engine to run a generator head about 4K or 5K seems that at around 300 rpm's the model T engine has about 10 Hp which should be abiout right for a 4K generator head and the engine may not use much fuel .... which they noit only will it run on gas but also kerosene and ethanol  and the engine outlasted most of the trucks it was in

Very good idea.  8)
That is the easiest engine to work on, and most reliable.
Could you run an AC compressor also, or any other storage systems?

i had not thought of running an compressor

wonder if i could run one on liquor ??
could store some liquor for back up fuel in a power outage

also i can put the radiator inside the room i am going to heat and use the engine heat to heat up a small room

they sound almost as good as a lister engine

thanks
