Article about getting the Cog out of Iron-cored Motors
« on: September 22, 2015, 11:56:09 PM »
Parker-Hannifin just came up with this brilliant new idea:

http://machinedesign.com/motorsdrives/how-ironcore-motors-defeat-cogging-and-find-new-uses

Or so it sounds from reading that article.  However, we know we have been doing this for years, to get the COG out of our motor conversions.

Too bad Zubbly isn't around any more to get his royalty cheques.   :'(
No one believes the theory except the one who developed it. Everyone believes the experiment except the one who ran it.

This post and article reminded me Dinges' decogging tutorial, which does a good job in putting together a set decogging solutions.
And sure enough, It's still available on the Otherpower files. http://www.otherpower.com/images/scimages/3538/decogging_tutorial_V1.pdf

Nothing's as easy as drilling a hole in the wrong place
