The components aren't exotic.

The vids I watched did not speak of the electrolyte.
It was done at MIT and probably not part of the public knowledge base just yet.
I'm thinking they'll reach out the investors , they do like the peculator groups do here in St Louis, research , product , then find investors :->.

A good description of the internal design here. It uses chlorides. The aluminum is the anode in this case. Carbon is the cathode. The aluminum-air (single use) cell uses the aluminum as the cathode.
Lower storage capacity and lower voltage than lithium ion cells, but decent capacity compared to an electrolytic capacitor.
