precision 2.5V reference
« on: September 08, 2015, 08:58:12 AM »
Just read an article mentioning this. I have several multimeters and battery cell testers, and they all read differently on any battery.

Anyone familiar with this and know how to build one so we can calibrate these voltage measuring devices ?

A lot of us can't afford Fluke meters.

Gonna pay off the CC, tomorrow, and then, order one of those. Then, see if I can calibrate about 5 multimeters that I have that all read different V on the same batteries.

 Thanks, David

Hi

I looked at the link then went onto Ebay and searched for them. There are several different models the one you show is GBP 6.51 a point to note it does not come with the battery, the 15V battery is another GBP 5.31.

I do have a precision multi meter but I also have several that aren't and it will be interesting to see how they compare, I also have a very old Avo 8.

The link contradicts itself. The description says it contains an onboard 15v battery and then later says it doesn't have the battery.
The listing picture shows a battery, too.
That listing should be reported.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/AD588-High-Precision-Voltage-Reference-Module-Multiple-Output-AD588BQ-/141679500940?hash=item20fcc19e8c Same problem here, the listing shows dual onboard batteries, but the list then says batteries not included.

Probably because of the new Lithium shipping rules.  ::) ::)

I'm going to look some more before buying AND will ask the seller so I have record of batteries included or no.

Thanks for the heads up, guys.
