Sutron 8210 data loggers

I obtained 20 of these in a government clearance auction.  They were previously deployed to monitor water flow in rivers and streams in the Northwest Territories of Canada.  When I bought the bundle, I had an idea for a project that would use a dozen data loggers.  It's now clear that I won't actually do that project, it was a bit more ambitious than my free time would allow.  Time for these units to go, except for three that I will keep.

Before I put any on e-bay, I want to give Fieldlines members first choice.

They sell on e-bay for 150-250 USD each, but I'm not looking for lots of cash, so I am only asking for 50$ and that you pay the shipping.
I have a paypal account, which I prefer to use.
I cannot ship the loggers with batteries (sorry).  The extra weight adds to the shipping costs more than the value of the batteries.

I have powered up every one of them, confirmed that they work, and run the built-in diagnostics.  I also cleaned out their memory, and reset to factory settings.  Most are still equipped with their satellite radios, but some do not have one.  I can sell either type.  I have not tried to use the satellite radios.  There are 12 with sat radios, and 5 without.  Buyers can take as many as they want, or just one, of any kind.  If you get one with sat radio, it can be disabled or removed, then the logger works like normal, and consumes less power.

They are easy to set up and program.  The Sutron user manuals are very well written.  If you want to make your own sensors, all parameters on the inputs are programmable so that you can get read-outs with custom text and units.  They work best when you use the Sutron software package for data downloads and remote system set-up.  I will either provide a CD with each logger, or set up a drop-box account for anyone to use.

I have been using several of them myself.  I have one set aside to do some "home automation" and already hooked it up to sense when my furnace is on, and the house temperature.  I diagnosed a faulty step-down transformer as a result!  I will use another to enhance my weather station, when I get a round tuit.  Of course, one is also monitoring my RE system.  In particular, it has been monitoring battery voltage and the temperatures inside and outside of my battery box to alert me of adverse trends before they become problems or battery failure.  I have also found exceedances in things like battery voltage that I wouldn't catch with simple spot checks.  I discovered a bad connection on a battery temperature sensor that way.

My set-up, including a view of the laptop running the Sutron 8210 application software.

well if possible keep one with out a radio in the heap for me as I'd buy one in a while on a tight budget for winter.
