JW,
I didn't know what you had planned until seeing this.
I can help with the uploads if you need it.

Hi JW,
Just FYI, that's roughly how I captured the files in the first place.  Remember it was the old OP board, not this format.  So to clean up the clutter of stuff I did a kinda complicated process of 1) print format button 2) copy to clipboard 3) paste in Word 4) fix the image inserts 5) export to PDF.  I still have the Word files, though backward pasting from PDF to Word is pretty easy too.
After you e-mailed me yesterday, I started to ponder what would be the smoothest way to restore the posts.  Then I checked what still exists:

Conversion #1 http://www.fieldlines.com/index.php/topic,127459.msg817823.html#msg817823
Conversion #2 http://www.fieldlines.com/index.php/topic,127460.msg817825.html#msg817825
Conversion #3 http://www.fieldlines.com/index.php/topic,127462.msg817840.html#msg817840

I'd day 99% intact.  You deserve a lot of credit for maintaining the integrity of all these old posts.

Here is part of Zubbly's photo album:  http://www.sparweb.ca/Forum/Zubbly/
About 150 pictures to scroll through.
It's not a complete list because I didn't go back after 2006 to capture his later photos.  The rest are hosted on: http://gallery.anotherpower.com/main.php/v/zubbly/
I recommend browsing through because his last conversion was a monster 25HP.

Please let me know if you have any problems with my little gallery view and scrolling.  I'm still learning how to spell "HMTL".

IIRC, the photo you posted is of his grandson, holding the green prop for his 3 HP conversion.
Aside from the color scheme, my 8-ft prop is very similar!

There is a really good writeup by dinges about decogging that should go with this thread.  You guys can probably find it easily.and attach it.  If not, i have it on an old laptop and can upload it.

Between the zubbly articles, dinges decogging, and sparwebs website, a person can learn enough to do a motor conversion.

Wow,

Came across this topic ju now , it,s like a late Christmas gift to me -takes me back to Zubbly,s days of him and his red lattice tower beside the swimming pool in his backyard.

His Son, ? is he carrying on Dads work? He was interested ,back then!.

Anyhow , hello to all the guys that remember me from downunder and you probably still have my album of related stuff ,,welcome to use any of it - Zubbly and I posted topic often . He fell off that tower once , then such a sad day ,I still remember it way back , when I heard he had sadly passed away ..

Thanks for the memories ,

Rest in peace , dear Zubbly .
