recommendations for phones with infrared camera capability?
jlsoaz:
Hi - does anyone here use an attachment for a phone, or a phone with built-in infrared picture-taking capability, to take pictures of homes/buildings, to monitor for energy escape? Any pointers on what to buy?

FLIR isn't cheap. They have them for Android and iOs.
https://www.amazon.com/FLIR-ONE-Thermal-Imager-iOS/dp/B00VILVV62
Least expensive on eBay

A laser spot thermometer of decent quality can be had for less than $50. The display is just a number not a fancy picture.

OK, thanks. I was thinking of FLIR, or something like this:

I like the idea of saving money, but am kind of graphically oriented, so it would be nice to have an image.

Look for Seek Thermal Imaging Camera for iOS LW-AAA
$180 to $250 attachment for iPhone. Some versions support Android.
