Here is a short video of the variable direct lift injector valve that I use on my steam engines. This is a proof of concept video. When the injector cycles at this speed it tends to blow out my mosfet array since the water cooled coil has low Impedance. I know this refers to AC but this is a DC square wave. I cant tell you how much it costed me, the switch array is bullet proof and transient voltage it rectified by diodes it looks easier that it is.

Photo of your solid state switching array shows one wire connector very nearly ready to come disconnected. May not be important, just thought I would mention it.

 Like the whole injector idea.

Just from curiosity:  Have you looked at "steam injectors"?

Three cones.  Water and steam are the moving parts (though there may be a control/starting valve, an anti-backflow "clack valve", and  perhaps spring-loading one of the cones to make the device self-restarting in case its operation is interrupted.)  Returns nearly all the energy to the boiler, resulting in efficiencies in the 98% range.

May not be straightforward, and I'm not sure how automatable it is (though a seleonoid on the control valve plus the self-restart sprung cone ought to do it).  But it's a lot fewer parts.

Might be worth playing with once you've got things running properly with your current approach.

I have been working on supply of water to the injection system, needless to say I was WAY off, I am just now getting this sorted. a small piston can supply enough water for latent heat expansion, where as the working cylinder has a larger volume that does the water injection...




Been getting down to the nitty gritty with the gear ratio for the feed pump and have the sprockets selected. Its like 35 to 44 and the volume of the pump can charge the injector with enough flow every stroke...

Its taken a year to sort this out, bought the final pump sprocket for the pump and should be on the right track.

Now im moving into the final assembly stages with my steam direction valve.

I invested about 30k (or more) within the last 3 1/2 years up to this point with development, if I get 50 good injectors I will be happy. I have enough parts to make 100

Been pulling all my resources and getting ready for final assy. Still have to make some parts for the solenoid assy but after that it should be smooth sailing.

Also got my site backed up its taken years to get it built up to this point, dont want to lose any of the hard work.
