Can i turn my wind turbine into a washing machine?

Hi
Here in the UK, one news broadcast they say the masks don't do anything, the next one someone is saying they are good, so I think it is up to the individual.
I used to do a lot of spraying with 2K paint so I have several 28 day masks. The filters are in sealed packaging once open they offer protection against organic gasses and micro fine particle for roughly a month. After that they still filter out dust and the fine particles so if they make masks in public a legal requirement, I will crack a couple of those out, they at least protect against aerosols that are in peoples breath.
I suppose I could dig my SCUBA gear out but it is hard to talk with a big lump of rubber stuck in your mouth. As it is I will just carry on stopping in and only venture out for essential shopping. I thankful I live in a rural area not a big city.

As strange (Not really for the average person) as it may seem or look.
People at the 'marts are being much nicer than say this time last year.
At least that's the way it seems. Most stores I used to visit people were always nicer than say a Big-Box store.
BUT now even at the Super-duper stores people are giving each other "space" they all nod and possibly smile ( Can't tell behind the varied mask types) Even the hombres are looking like they're doing the right ting by wearing that chic skull&crossbones bandana .
Being that I work in an "essential" field, I am required to wear a mask and go into work everyday, but that doesn't keep me from being fashionable about it. ;D
I now don my Chili-head bandana on my face 8). Some say it's an improvement :o
Y'all stay safe!!

It depends on how exactly they examine the affect. Surgical masks offer essentially no protection to the wearer should the contamination be broadcast over their body, and if the wearer is infectious they do not filter out the virulence. What they do is significantly decrease the broadcast range...meaning if you were give a "healthy" cough you'd be spraying particulates two meters away, but with a mask the distance is cut down to a fraction because a mask, properly worn, reduces the velocity of those particulates. Depending on your news source agenda, this can mean anything from "the masks do not work" to "the masks reduces spread of the contagion". What news and media outlets are doing a really terrible job of doing is stressing that the masks are not to protect you, but to protect other people from you, and exactly how they accomplish this goal.

Very well put!

Clockman, I am happy to see you standing up.
It is better to be looking like an alien, standing up, than in bed, and looking human. ;)
I totally agree with DanG. Direct sunshine on any part of the skin works miracles. Lots of Vitamin D helps healing.
Stay safe everyone.
