Wednesday 08/04/2020 …. Here in France, me and the boy are still shuffling around, I am still working around our farm when I get some energy, all our access gates are closed.
Both of us still get bad days, 4 weeks later.
At present we both have no appetites and seem to have lost our taste buds.
Boy's school keeps sending him work to do on line, and want it back on line, teachers sending hand outs without teaching the subject, so he is mighty miffed, especially as I have to wave the proverbial stick all the time to get his work done, and his mum is constantly on my back from her twice daily Skype chats/lectures with us. AAGGHH.
France use some peculiar software that only works on FireFox and the like, and is poor and clunky and constantly falls over.
Only been out shopping/chemists visits 3 times in 3 weeks since France Lockdown.
As usual there has been Politian's meddling with what's good and bad methods and techniques. (sse my story later)
I have to fill in a form to travel and state time of travel and date just to go shopping. Only food shops are open, petrol stations are open and Animal feed merchants are semi open, everything else is shut for the past 3 weeks.
My normal solitude work here is occasionally with some cleaning chemicals that over the past 40 years has made me very allergic, so I wear a full chemical suit, (made in Germany), that specifies 99.8% protection.
Our First week ………
Doctors surgery told us not to come in and self isolate, No they wont test unless we are admitted to hospital.
Felt better yesterday, the virus comes and goes even 20 days later, sick, vomiting, aches and painful muscles, bad coughing, sore throat, headaches, bad breathing difficulties etc etc, and we are normally healthy.
Needed food, or else the wife's ducks, dog and cats were starting to look tasty. So Went shopping yesterday, Tuesday 24th March, in my local French town.
I was dressed in a full chemical suit, that can be hosed/washed down dried and re-used, (I use it in my chemical room, as over 40 years I have become sensitive to my working chemicals). Not easy driving my car with that lot on. But hay I can keep my own germs inside.
The chemical filters have a life of 100 hours and can be removed and Isopropyl alcohol cleaned.
If I get splash of virus on my suit, ie someone sneezes, ….. it can last up to 9 hours even if washed off.
Last Tuesday 31st March, went shopping for food in another nearby French small town ..........
I went to our local French Town, to go to the Chemist/pharmacy for paracetamol for the boy and me as we still get bad headaches.
I duly waited in the 2 person line at 2 meters apart.
I was about to go in the shop when a Police car pulled up and beckoned me to them sat in their police car.
Yes, I thought I have the correct paper work for visiting the Chemist.
But No, the French police sergeant asked me/then ordered me to remove my Face mask.
He said that I was sacring people, "what people" I remarked as the streets were empty.
He then ordered me to remove my mask, and he said "Only paper towels are allowed".
Both policemen had no masks on, I said "me and the boy have had the virus and are recovering and only come out once a week for food and medicines, if I remove this mask both of you are likely to catch it or you will be contaminated", silence ensued, then the Sergeant said, " I have my orders". I said No and walked away to my parked car.
He then shouted, "If I see you again with that mask on, I will arrest you, I have my orders".
Telling you! I couldn't make this up if tried.The above story of mine went viral here in France, there's me trying to protect others and the morons in charge are still protecting there own rears.
Down the road from me is a French couple who have there daughters at the same school as my 13 year old. He is a log cabin builder here in France and she works as a specialist in the French medical service dealing with mentally disturbed patients.
In France the Mask shortage and the PP equipment is ordered on a just in time process, and now that everything has gone to pot, and stocks are very low, the medical professionals are very concerned, including my friends .
I have lent my friend a spare mask, boxes of Nitryl medical work gloves and chemical suit, and isopropyl cleaning equipment, that i have.
She said, "I asked my boss, and he said i can not wear it , as other medical staff will demand the same".
As i originally said most of the French nation were probably contaminated about a 4 weeks ago and the epidemic has not peaked here.
Yes, people are dying around me, and there is no vaccine as yet, you just get paracetamol, and if your immune system is week you get pneumonia and need oxygen.
Tuesday this week went shopping again, different chemists, different town, but i know the staff at this supermarket. And they were pleased and reassured to see me in my chemical suit. The staff were wearing plastic gloves and paper masks and doing there best.
Hopefully i can keep my infestation to my self.
In the streets on Tuesday, not many folk out and about, half were wearing some sort of mask, the other half that were not seem to be a much older generation, and some old farmers seem to think the whole thing is a big joke!.
I am reliably informed by medical gurus that I know, that its the micro droplets that just waft around in closed environments, and they can live for up to 9 hours.
Its No Joke, Just self isolate as much as possible and stay safe guys!
