Magnet orientation based on topology

In this topology shown here - radial flux topology, is it possible to place the magnets axially on this washing machine rotor?  Can I have two magnet rotors on each side of this stator as it is? Or is it imperative that the magnets be placed flat against the holes of the coils?

It is better to explain this with pictures.



If the magnet is moving in the direction of the arrow:

In image A there is no voltage being produced.

In image B there is voltage being produced.

Those coils are so beautiful that they deserve a nice frame. Right Craig?

 its the change in polarity that frees up the electrons. the faster the change  the higher the voltage
