So the Chinese wind turbine died and was only putting out 50 watts maximum the coils got toasted by all my stupid experiments and too much braking so back to one of my previous projects which has been brought back to life and is VERY nearly ready to fly
I am making a dual rotor wind turbine ( nearly ready to fly ) and I am using an electric bike motor hub , let me know what you think of the design , when the blades are staggered correctly they catch the wind really well I love the concept of using gearing to try and bet more power.
This one is a very short video of the design if that catches your interest the second video is playlist of the work that has been done on it recently.
SHORT 30 SEC VIDEO showing the design and how well the blades catch the wind even on the deck.

I have used this motor in a wind turbine before and it seems super solid I am guessing it will max out around 500 watts even though it is a 1kw hub motor.
Shout out to anyone who is making their own stuff, peace
