Ever since I made my outdoor glider swing I've been trying to convert the
swinging action into rotary motion to turn a generator....I almost had it when
I used an old 10-speed rear wheel....forward motion of the swing turns the wheel.
but no power on the backward swing .
Now I think I have it solved... 2 ten-speeds....
after spending all night cutting the spokes ....you might wonder why I didn't just
unscrew the spoke nipples and slip them out of the hub.....well it don't work that
way ! ....you would have to take the sprocket cluster off....No Way been there done
that after three times of sprocket cluster removal some of those LITTLE bearings drop
out and I always lose some...no thanks I'll just cut the spokes *&^)% hard to do with
a pair of diagonal clippers....where in the ()()98& is my little bolt cutters....( found them
this morning after cutting and mangaling 64? spokes.
Hopefully the pics will get here someway....Thanks Ghurd ? :-\
pulleys get attached to the hubs a belt connects them and the generator pulley
no matter which way you pull the chain the hubs always tun in the same direction.
well hope the printing is legible......

EDIT-
The file size limit has been increased back up to 150K.
G-
I have lowered the file size of uploaded attachments, it was 150k and it is now limited to 42k per picture. Do not try to upload a ".bmp" file, use ".jpeg".
One thing Im seeing is that when the image is relatively small, and has a large file size, its because the image has not been "cropped" to a smaller file size. The forum should accept your images if there no more than "42k" file size. I just tried this, and it should be working for you now. If it still wont work we'll dig a little deeper, The other user that had a problem simular to yours, was able to upload the picture to the forum, it had some in the display html, but I was able to make the image appear because it had the green paper clip icon. If your not able to get that far, I can look into some other things
