Finally a little progress on my website
« on: May 22, 2004, 12:56:29 PM »
I got a little content up on the RE info website I'm trying to put together.

Some links: http://www.mwatt.com/A_Whole_Bunch_of_RE_Links.html

and an RE news page that I'll probably be more diligent at keeping up to date than I will at adding more content to the rest of the site.

Here's URL to the news page: http://www.mwatt.com/News.html

That's not a whole lot, I know.  But I'll be starting a new job soon that might allow me a bit more time to devote to things like this.

Excellent!  What a wonderful compilation...  thanks! I've bookmarked that one.

If I ever figure out what's in the box then maybe I can think outside of it.

Wow! The solar home link blew me away! I wonder if the 1/2 hp waterpump averaged 1250 or so watts during it's full cycle: kinda seemed that way. If so, the numbers would have tapered down if used longer? Large surge, then back to 385 watts or so for continous usage? Know that was only a link, perhaps a trip to radioshack is in order for me. I think they have 220 peak and continuous meters for sale. Gary D.

Might be old news, but here's an interesting article about a family in Canada who built their off-grid solar/wind/backup-generator powered home (PDF at Bergey.com).  Lot's of tips and explanations, starting with energy conservation.
