Hi Ron, Thanks for the post. Unfortunately, I can't open any of them. Is there a chance you could post them in other formats also? maybe one of the ms office formats?

If there is a MS 3D file format I do no know of it.  IF you know of one and it is in RHINO's abilities, sure.


Personally I don't think there is a MS file format that would be good for explaination of 3D formats other than possibly a Excel spreadsheet.


I am gradually weaning myself from the Micro$haft habit.  As soon as I can figure out good, affordable LINUX CAD and CAM programs I will not have to run (from) any of Mr. Willie Gates bull.

Just for anyone who doesnt know, .ai is an Adobe Illustrator format but can be opened with Adobe Photoshop as well.


I see a box with a blade?

 Thanks for the .stl file Ron. It opens fine in DesKam from WWW.deskam.com

Ill have to build a bigger cnc table to use it though.

Thanks for your post on this and for your work for the community here.  I can open two of the formats and believe that I can generate G-codes directly from the DXF file, although as we discussed briefly earlier, I wouldn't want to carve down to the finished surface on the first pass. Rich
