Although high tide was only hour after the pics were taken, it looks like low tide because the whole beach is gone.


question, are the pics in the post 'normal size' or do they look like thumbnails?

The pix look fine. I hear they are still rescuing people in VA from the flooding.


We have been fortunate here in FL this past year, no hurricanes. They should never have allowed beach development here. All it takes is one storm to pull all the sand out to sea.

where at willib, Norfolk here. Power still out.


I'm 3 blocks from the Cheaspeake, with  a swamp in between, had 4' of water

Hey My Brother lives there in Norfolk He was Station at the Army Base at Fort Eutis Before he retired.Now He owns a small business near there.

I have not heard from him this Week. Did that area have alot of Damage?

A lot of damage due to tidal flooding. 350,000 without power or a period.


A lot of the protective sand dunes in some areas are simply gone now, especially in the Willoughby area.

The usual spots were flooded i hear , like Manasquan and Sea Bright .

I'm at the Jersey Shore south of Sandy Hook
