Pathetic or what,
My neighbor has a big ford SUV with the Triton V-10 gas engine so he can get his kids to school and get to work. His kid weighs 78 pounds soaking wet, his brief case, maybee 10 pounds. What the HELL! My truck weighs 12,000 pounds and has a 4 cyl diesl. I often pull an 8,000 pound trailer with no problem. In normal use, at about 10,000 lbs. I get around 11 to 14 mpg and sometimes better, AND my 2 kids combined weigh 250 lbs. on the way to school. It is not stylish, but it is extremely reliable and a good work horse. This world is just simply nuts. You have to wonder why we let these people JAM these big gas guzzlers dowm out throats. We are mostly highly educated, well paid, hard working folks here in the US. Why are we as a society so damb ignorant??
