IRC Chat ?
« on: February 07, 2005, 12:56:57 AM »
I can't log ont to the chat I hav'ent been able to for a long time. Now winter is here and I'm alone in the house with 3 girls (yes alone) I need a break.

I downloaded mIRC and can make that work and have been able to log on to the OP chat once. now it will not let me log on again. I get disconected then unable to resolve server

I have windows xp

I'm not too good with the puter, but I thing my settings are good.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Roscoe

ok i will get you fixed up here no problem.

if you followed the mirc setup instructions here http://oneota.net/~teejaydubya/IRC/chatpage.html when you set up mirc the fist time then first open mirc then click continue in the box that pops up then a box should come up that looks like this but is gray

make sure there is a - next to the word connect in list on left side of box if there is a + there click on the + so it changes to a - then you should see the word Servers click it so it turns blue. you should be looking at a box that looks like this then

if you do not see otherpower in the box under irc server: make sure that the top box says all. then click the little down tap to the right of the irc server box and find the word otherpower and click on it. then click the edit button and make sure that info in the box that comes up is like the picture below if not change it.

click ok. then click connect to server. wait a moment a box will come up that says mirc favorites type otherpower in the top box click the top join. and your there.

if that don't work i would suggest downloading mozilla or firefox and following the instructions in the link above.
