Panel covers
« on: October 15, 2011, 09:38:39 PM »
If a person is going to be gone for 4 months should they make panel covers for their solar panels. I'll be living in the woods and mountains and maybe gone off and on. I'll mount the big panels on my roof of my wood shed but I'll also have a small set of 45 watt panels that will be on my work shed for trickle charging the batteries while I'm gone. I really do not like leaving the big panels working while I'm gone.
I am planning on protecting my big panels with some netting about 6 ft above the panels. There is allot of trees close and when the wind really howls there are always small branches flying threw the air from the trees up the mountains. Any ideas ?
