Use for Chicago Aermotor?
« on: August 02, 2008, 03:30:16 PM »
I have a nice Chicago Aermotor that my grandfather bought in the 1930s and I would like to set it up and admire it but thats no enough.

It needs to function and pay its way.

I do not have a well but I do have a small creek fed by a spring

and I am off grid.

Do you have any suggestions how it can be put to use?  Thanks

Well, it wouldn't be any good for using as a electric generator it'd take way too much modification for that. It would pump water though if it's not in too bad shape.

They have been used for pumping surface water before. My suggestion would be to drill a shallow well beside your creek, you'd get some natural filtration that way.
