I will leave the specific inspections, specific gravity, case/plate inspections to those more knowlegable. I will comment however that for 6 year old golf cart batteries that have been in use, they are likely past 2/3 of their life expectancy, and in my neck of the woods, they only cost about 75 bucks each. So it doesn't sound like a great deal to me off hand. I have noted on my older batteries of this type (Interstate, 225 AH) that as they age, the standing voltage when charged is decreased, and the amp hours that they are able to deliver is diminished. I am not sure of the best way to test those two things on batteries that have been sitting idle, and as I mentioned above, I will leave that to others. Have fun up there in Alaska, Rich
