DSL modem on solar
« on: April 22, 2005, 06:57:51 PM »

Hi

Today is the first time for me to be on the net by 100% solar powered computer gear.  It was actually our dog Kajsa who made me take the leap. She chewed the cable off from the 230V adapter to the DSL modem.

It seems like a Bichon Frise´dog can handle 12V DC pretty well...

What would mankind be without dogs?

Greetings

Sounds cool!! I have been thinking about putting all my network equipment (dsl modem, router, switch etc) on solar for a few months now. They're all 12v so it should be easy. As soon as I finish my exams I will be getting into it.

Cheers,

Stephen.
