I need input on what would be a good and efficient water pump to pump about 30-50gpm with a head around 200 feet. This would be from a lower pond to an upper pond and would "recharge" the system durring times of wind and sunlight.
I have been looking at air lift pumps but can't seem to find information on how wisely they use energy and I can't realy afford to waste much power here. I am going to be spinning a 5kw pelton wheel generator with water released from the upper pond and the primary function of the pump is to help sustain a reasonable amount of water in the system when there is not sufficient runoff or rain.
Thanks.
