What is your weekly power output?
« on: July 30, 2009, 12:29:11 PM »
I would like to know what diameter rotor people have and what average weekly power and peak power they generate.  Anyone care to share?

My 30" on a good week will do 50 watt hours and 20  watts peak  :)  and my 15 watt solar panel will do 200wh at 11 watts peak.

Sorry, you were asking about wind,

10 ft, 1x2x.5 mags. I only have afternoon wind here for about 5 hours and see between 100 and 400 watts pretty steady, have seen peaks to 2500 watts in storms before the furling kicked in.

30th of July:

Doc wattsons say I have gathered [since the reset on the first]:

  1. KW Solar [850 watt array]
  2. KW Wind [10 foot and a 6.5 foot turbines]

Thems the numbers best I can split it up. Turbines feed DC inn one pair so they both go through one meter.

I have only been collecting data for a short while, but here is what I get in July.

Averaging about 380 Watt Hours/Day or 2.6KWH/Week

Ask me again in October...

I have 6 Harbor Freight Panels

probably puts out 60 watts in all

60 watts X 4 hours sun X 7 days = 1680 watts

also equals a savings from the utility company of about 16 cents a week
