Hi everyone,
We have constructed a 1.8 diameter wind turbine using Hugh Piggott's manual for a grid tie application. The turbine is connected to a 3-phase rectifier, then to the LDR (capacitors, voltage sensor and dump load all connected as in the users manual), and then to a Mastervolt e Windmaster 500W grid tie inverter with MPPT.
All is fine, apart from the fact that after a week of operation, maybe less, the LDR keeps the turbine constantly connected to the dump load for no reason, so the turbine cannot start (This should happen when the turbine reachs a voltage of over 96V).
Has anybody had this problem before with this product?
Any advice on how to overcome this?
Any idea why this is happening?
