I desided to name this project early for typing reasons!


My Tread Mill PM Motor soon to be a wind Generator, I dubbed......


"T M Gen 1"

Look @ my Diary, for more T M Gen 1 info.

Looked a lot like yours, how's that going?

Still with 4' radius prop geared 5.5-1?

Mine will be hooked to a VAWT....Someday...

   They're great little generators....or like

Jerry did...about 90 volts DC makes a great motor

to run a saw.

"Run a Saw"?


I want power!

I have access to many "Deep Cycle" battery "Cores".

I need to build a "Desulfation circuit"

I need to study and find more on "Charge Controllers"

I'm going to try to get this one running before I do the

"Build From Scratch", Type.

I really like the looks of and the stated performance of the double

disc brake type but will be building more from "the ground up" as I

enjoy this type of "project".

But I admitt that my strongest point is-

"Collection and scrounging up" of parts and hope to be able to use this

as a great outlet of my collecting parts urges!

I am still a bit off on my trying to understand the furling tail setup

but, I am pretty sure I'll be going axle type anyway.

Hi Norm.


Actully 120 volts DC from my e-car. The motor is one of those large tredmill motors. 130 volt.  


I tryed one of these on our compresor at the store but I've burt up 2 now so I've gone to the 90 lb. Magnatek 180 volt. Its slower but it dosn't even break a swet or get warm. Its rated 2 HP and it replaced a 3 HP AC 220 volt motor.


We're runing it at 120 volts dc but it works fine.


I'm using the old e-car barrties at the store for my 120v dc power tool battery bank.

I've been looking for a charge controller for this.

I have found a kit from "CirKits" # SCC3

Anybody have an opinion on this kit?

For $55 USD, I WONDER?????


But would like an opinion from someone who has experience!
