Dome comming along
« on: September 23, 2007, 12:46:17 AM »
Well after a rough start the dome is commimg allong nicely.  I have about 1/3 of the struts in place and it no longer needs outside support to stand up.

I wanted to post a pic of this but cant find the photo resizer on this new computer.

We cooked beef tips and mushrooms in the solar oven while I worked on the dome and the grandkids played in the pool. A really good day on the farm. Will have to keep the kids in the house or have them play in the barn tomorrow as both are sunburned.  I dont think their parents let them play out enough for them to have burned this time of year.  Oh well.

If all goes well and the weather holds I should have the frame ready to cover by next wed. or thurs.

We planted some purple hull peas today hoping that there will be enough good weather to harvest before frost.  Its a gamble but I sure love fresh peas.

As soon as the dome is up I need to return to work on the pv and wind projects as well as start the solar room heater I want for the south side of the house.

Projects projects projects  I think of them faster than I can get them done.

Thanks for the update.  If you find that photo resizer, be sure to upload a couple pics. It would be nice to see how it's coming along.

We've got some green beans that we planted late in the year, but they're ready to be picked.  It's hard to beat garden fresh vegetables.

Good luck!
