New cell new diary
« on: May 04, 2008, 03:42:27 PM »
After a good chunk of millage and a couple of oil changes I 'm uping the capacity and hho input to the work vehicle . I was concerned that the hho would  loosen  my high mileage 4liter ford motor but it loves it .  This summer on the road I 'll document the water/fuel used and come up with some conductivity  and power matching figures (solution conductivity / current /voltage / pwm timing ) to bring this in to focus with it's own alternator and battery set . The next cell will be in a 8 QT stock pot ( low grade stainless but I 've eliminated the caustic compounds from solution and been using sodium bicarb and rain water. It's gona go or blow ( not problems yet)

An electrolysis cell that does not separate the hydrogen and oxygen but evolves them from the breakdown of H2O by electricity into a common space (container).

Browns gas 2h an 1 o. Good stuff Still learning and collecting data . I think my truck likes it I know my back up genset likes it a lot I have the fuel turned way low only enough to keep the cylinder dry . Runs cooler too .

What's your current output? in volume of hh0 to fuel? and is this gas or diesel powered?

Couldn't tell from the pics.

Did you have to modify any electronics, like to oxygen sensor outputs?

The current varies with the concentration on the electrolyte . It's not a black and white process the water doesn't have to be monitored just be aware that the conductivity changes with the reduction . I plan to monitor the conductivity and am still looking for the  happy zone . The first cell was a shot in the dark I now believe the gap between the two cylinders was two fine to work with variable concentrations that are going to be the natural coarse of the reduction. Pics of the new cell below .Plenty of room in this one and everything is happening at the bottom where the the mixing is going on .( no problem there with normal driving the process is a natural mix also ) testing  this afternoon . I  removed  the old cell I needed the check valve . definitely a difference.  With the cathode next to the cylindrical anode I think this will charge the water quickly ( we'll see)

Currently the ox sensor is reacting well to the richer mixture . I do think remapping the efi is going to be nessesary to get the right closed loop here the sensors are resistive so the map adjustments can be resistive found a chip that may be good for that MCP41010-I/P .I ordered some and a thick proto to take the burn test.

Tecker, I have began to assemble hho cells also. It looks promising. I have a Ford Vic 4.6L (retired double knot spy car). Bought it at a auction 6 years ago. It gets a solid 20 mpg without it. I've heard up to 30% increase in fuel mileage with it. I'll see.

I can't find anywhere to mount the unit under the hood, but the trunk has enough room to be used as a camping tent in wet weather. That's where I'll mount the rig.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Oh yeah mileage increase and what amounts to an octane boost to that v8 will bring that dog back around .If you find the right vacuum input you can turn off the cell and evacuate the long tube and cell pretty quick . Do a you tube for Stan Meyer I think the pwm happy zone is around 20k hz not sure the voltto get back on the road with the new cell .I 'll run it out of gas and post the mileage.  age I 'm thinking raw alternator voltage will do the trick . I 'm hustling the jb weld in the oven now
