Hi everyone, been a while since I've posted here. I've been busy with University and work so I've not had much time to mess about with RE stuff. Summer is here so its time to begin work on the system again

I thought I would just post an update on my 12v system which I hope to expand soon.
The system is performing great so far and actually provides useful power.

Thats one of my panels mounted on the house wall. This is one of the panels I bought off ebay from Germany which was the cheapest place at the time, probably still is. This panel is 65W.

This is the second panel I bought off of eBay, this one is 80W I think. The panels are mounted on the wall with wooden frames. There is an outside waterproof junction box which takes the power straight into the attic.

Here is the controller, this too was bought off eBay. I think its the same one as Abyss Underground used. It seems fine so far and handles my panels and batteries fine. The max ive seen is 8.2A, with my homebrew panel as well I had 10/11A.

The batteries are in the attic, 4 12V 92ah batteries, also bought off eBay.

Heres the installation in my room. The inverter is also in the attic and provides up to 700W.
Its mainly used for my sound system which it handles no problem.

My amp powered by the sun
Its also great for charging my Macbook for uni etc.
My plans for this summer are to finish my homebrew panel. I did complete an initial design with acrylic but that failed quickly and cracked. I'm going to redesign the way the acrylic is held to the wooden frame which should hopefully stop it cracking.
My 3HP motor conversion is kind of dead in the water. The conversion is finished, I've not been able to test its output yet, I also need blades and some sort of tower to mount it on.
Its all been fun and a taught me a lot
I'd like to thank this board and its members, with you guys none of this would ever of happened.
