Will Earth Air Tube Cooling work for the summer
« on: October 06, 2005, 03:46:56 AM »
I post this question earlier this evening, but it seems it has been removed or deleted??  Anyways I will repost.  My question is will earth air tubing provide enough cooling during summer months to completely eliminate conventional air conditioning??  This is assuming that the system is properly sized(maybe over sized) for the size of the home.  I really like this idea http://www.mb-soft.com/solar/intake.html .  It uses an air tube in a closed system all pushed by you furnace blower fan. I know that additional heating will be need in the winter months. Besides the concern for mold/bacteria growth, will it be enough for cooling in the summer.  Temps here in southern Ontario are usually between 25-35 degrees C, and ground temps are a constant 8 degrees C.  Thakns for any input on this question, Fern
