Question about masonry stoves
« on: February 27, 2006, 04:39:45 PM »
Hello, my name is Manuel, and I'm going to build a barn in 2,5 acres with no utilities.

I'm thinking in a masonry stove, with an oven, and some type of radiator into it in order to "extract" heat for a greenhouse attached to the barn and keep its temperature above 5 degrees centigrades or similar.

The radiator would be connected to 200 litres buckets (I think those are you 55 gallon drums) full of water and painted black that also would make solar thermal mass.

Some links about masonry stoves:

Something that I must know, or a better way of achieving it?

Thanks

Manuel
