Inverters [CLOSED]
« on: November 13, 2008, 07:56:39 PM »
I have a 3000 watt inverter (110 vac) It has 4 outlets. My question is if it would be pheasable to use 2 of the outlets to make 220 vac to run a well pump in an emergency situation?? If so how??

Pretty much "NO".
A search should have found  stories on this as it must have been asked 100 times by now.

lol no if you wired 2 of those outlets in series you would let the magic smoke out of the inverter for sure. it just doesn't work that way....
