Otherpower wind turbine featured in Back Home magazine
« on: December 08, 2004, 07:47:31 AM »
Our 3-phase dual magnet-rotor design using our 1"x2"x1/2" magnet blocks is featured in Back Home magazine, starting with the current issue!  This will be a serialized feature in Back Home for the next couple issues. The first installment just mailed in issue #74, Jan/Feb 2005. It will be at newsstands very soon. The turbine shown in the main article photo is identical to the one built by the students at our mini-seminar at the Rocky Mtn Sustainable Living Fair 2004. It's flying next door to DanB and DanF. We give Hugh Piggott lots of credit in the article, but that's still probably not enough to express how much we've learned at his yearly Guemes Island, WA, USA seminars.

Woooo hooooo boys!  Pretty soon you'll be internationally famous.  Oh yeah, you're already famous on probably every continent.  OK, now you'll be REALLY famous.  And yes, it is difficult to overestimate the contribution that Hugh Piggot has made to home built wind machines.  We all owe him an enormous debt of gratitude.

Seriously, excellent work.

Best,

troy

the Dan's and Hugh were mentioned along with both Hugh's website and Otherpower in my July article I wrote for CQ magazine. The article was about a dual rotor machine I built for the anual Field Day event.     Check it out. It might be available for viewing on the CQ magazine website.

Good to hear you guys are getting more publicity  :-D
