I could not see his blades, some kind of linking error. I keep getting the alternator when I click on blades. Hmmm

The limited 1yr warranty only seems to cover the frame and the alt. That would make a guy leary of the blades. Not that i was interested in the system just trying to help.

They look like hornet blades to me.  I saw some recently in real life and was astounded by their flexibility - they were not even straight.  In my opinion there are lots of things wrong with them.  They claim to be carbon graphite, it may be some kind of carbon composite injection molded plastic but its not what I think of when I hear the word 'carbon graphite'.  They seem to be somewhat scaled up Air 403 blades but the quality seems much lower.  Not to bag on Mikes windmill shop or anything - but I think he's using hornet parts.  On the bright side though... they don't cost very much!

If I ever figure out what's in the box then maybe I can think outside of it.

I know a guy that bought these blades off of ebay. He was telling me what a great deal he got on carbon fibre (or carbon graphite) blades, so I went over to his place and had a look at them. I am not a materials expert but they sure looked like plastic to me. Maybe they have trace amounts of carbon something in them, but the felt like plastic, flexed like plastic, weighed about the same as plastic, and looked like plastic. When I told him I thought the blades were plastic the guy wasn't very happy, he still hasn't put up the mill yet so I can't comment on the blades performance.

As near as I can tell from the pictures, he is just reselling blades from Hydrogenappliances.com.  I used them on an Ametek motor several years ago, and they worked better than carved wood or PVC.  I won't get into the discussion of whether they're really "carbon fiber" or just "plastic", but they do work.  I think they're basically a scaled-up version of the AIR403 profile.  I'd buy them directly from Hydrogenappliances.com to save money.

Opps,

In spite of my attempts to educate, it goes poorly. What psyhic power was I supposed to use for the link? Blades actually take you somewhere else and blades were added without apparent direction, o u're just spodda no. Bad web design if you ask me. Nobody did, but there it is.
