Big UK wind energy non-story

This story is getting quite a bit of coverage on the web,

 and as a Brit I find it just as embarrassing as all the chest thumping we are doing over our medal haul at the Olympics. How somebody studying engineering at a university could consider this a useful wind turbine, I just don't know.

pretty silly story

the turbine makes 11.3 watts and the nearest comparable commercial turbine costs $4000.oo
